The new website, which represents the Kommetjie Residents and Ratepayers Asssociation, aims to serve the community of Kommetjie by acting as a hub for information sharing and interaction between residents, as well as tackle issues that threaten our village and the environment in which it stands. Below, please find a more comprehensive list of what we do, and feel free to assist us in completing these tasks!
Donate to KRRA, Standard Bank Fish Hoek (branch 036009), Account number 374221065
What does KRRA do?
Communications and fund-raising (hence the new look newsletter and upcoming website, and note the above account number for your awestruck donations :)
Social fabric (that considers how residents and neighbours and communities interact with each other, like the CANS)
Natural environment (that gets stuck into decreasing the number of problem plants, replacing them with indigenous ones, attending to wildlife matters, protecting milkwood trees, looking after wetlands and streams)
Land-use planning (that scrutinizes big development proposals and asks difficult questions about them)
Building alterations (that has a close look at residents’ brick and mortar proposed changes to ensure neighbour and community concerns are covered
Interactions with the municipality and other organizations about infrastructure, policies, money, and services
Please pick one that interests you or suggest another and become part of the new-look KRRA. The leaders of each report back each month to the rest. Email us at the details below, otherwise see you at the AGM!
